Day 1 : Arrival at Srinagar Airport and Transfer to Pahalgam

Upon your arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Pahalgam, which is famously known as the valley of shepherds. Once you reach Pahalgam, check-in to your hotel and relax. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore the nearby surroundings on your own. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.

Day 2 Sightseeing in Pahalgam.

Explore the breathtaking beauty of Pahalgam, a picturesque town surrounded by stunning natural scenery. After breakfast, head to Aru Valley, a charming village located 15 km upstream the Lidder River, which serves as the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi glacier.

The route to Aru Valley is filled with picturesque campsites that are perfect for a picnic. Next, visit Chandanwari, 16 km from Pahalgam, which is famous for snow sledding on a snow bridge. Along the way, make a stop at Hajan, a lovely picnic spot, and Betaab valley (Union Taxi on Own Cost for ABC Point). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 Pahalgam to Srinagar and Sightseeing in Srinagar |

After a satisfying breakfast, head back to Srinagar for a delightful stroll through the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh (the garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (abode of love). These gardens are located on the picturesque banks of Dal Lake and are home to a wide variety of colorful flowers. Nishat Bagh is the larger of the two gardens and boasts an impressive plantation of Chinar trees on its highest terrace. During the day, take a moment to visit the Shankaracharya Temple and the Hazratbal Shrine. In the evening, explore the vibrant Lal Chowk market and indulge in shopping for leather goods, embroidered mats and carpets, antique jewelry, and the highly sought-after Pashmina shawls. Finally, retreat to a stunning houseboat floating serenely on the clear waters of Dal Lake, where you can savor a scrumptious dinner and spend the night in comfort.

Day 4 Gulmarg to Srinagar

Start your day with a scrumptious breakfast, and then drive to Srinagar. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and prepare to explore the vibrant markets of Srinagar. Venture out to the local market, renowned for its paper-mache work, walnut wood carved articles, Kashmiri handicrafts, traditional Dongra jewelry, and dry fruits, and indulge in some quick shopping. In the evening, weather permitting, enjoy a serene Shikara ride on Dal Lake and witness the magnificent beauty of Srinagar as the sky changes colors during the sunset. Afterward, return to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 5 Excursion to Sonmarg

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, and then get ready for a full-day excursion to the stunning “Meadow of Gold” – Sonamarg. Renowned for the fast-flowing Sindh River, this location is perfect for fishing enthusiasts, with the Golden Mahseer fish being one of the rarest catches in the world. For those seeking adventure, sledging and other snow-related activities are available at Thajiwas Glacier, or you can opt for a pony ride (at your own cost) to one of the glaciers for some snowy fun with your family. After a thrilling day building snowmen and throwing snowballs, return to your hotel in Srinagar for the night.

 

Day 6  Departure From Srinagar

After a fulfilling breakfast, check out from your hotel/houseboat and embark on a local sightseeing tour of Srinagar (if time permits). Take in the sights and sounds of this beautiful city and its rich culture before being dropped off at your preferred location in Srinagar, such as the airport. This marks the end of your family tour package of Kashmir, leaving you with unforgettable memories of your trip.
